Assam ka Student Arrested for Sending Death Threat to Rapper Emiway Bantai
Navi Mumbai, June 5, 2025: Ek shocking news aayi hai Navi Mumbai se, jahan police ne ek 18-year-old student ko arrest kiya hai for allegedly sending a death threat aur ₹1 crore ki extortion demand to popular rapper Emiway Bantai. Yeh ladka, identified as Arulv Rameshkumar Alohi, Assam ka resident hai aur second-year commerce student hai. Police ka kehna hai ki yeh threat social media ke through bheja gaya tha, aur isme Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar ka naam bhi mention kiya gaya tha, jo notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang se linked hai.
Kya Hua Tha?
Emiway Bantai, jinka real name Muhammad Bilal Shaikh hai, ko yeh threat May 25 ko mila jab unke music label, Bantai Records, ke ek mobile number pe message aaya. Message mein kaha gaya tha, “I am gangster Goldy Brar. Your singer has 24 hours. I want ₹1 crore or else I will kill him.” Iske saath hi US-based Rohit Godara ka naam bhi mention tha, jo bhi Bishnoi gang ka associate hai. Yeh threat Emiway ke late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala ko tribute song release karne ke baad aaya, jo May 29, 2025 ko unki third death anniversary ke aas-paas release hua tha.
Emiway ke manager, Pooja Kuila, ne turant NRI Coastal Police Station mein complaint file ki. Navi Mumbai Police ne digital tracking ke through accused ka location Assam mein trace kiya aur ek team bhejkar usko custody mein le liya. Abhi yeh student Navi Mumbai mein hai aur police usse further questioning kar rahi hai.
Social Media ka Role?
Police ke initial investigation ke mutabik, yeh student social media pe kisi ke instructions follow kar raha tha. Interestingly, isne do aur singers ko bhi similar threats bheje the, targeting them for extortion. Navi Mumbai Police ke senior officials ka kehna hai ki abhi tak koi direct link Lawrence Bishnoi gang se nahi mila hai, but investigations ongoing hain. Emiway Bantai Indian hip-hop scene ke bade naam hain. Bengaluru-born aur Mumbai-raised, unhone apna career 2013 mein shuru kiya tha with their English rap song “Glint Lock.” Unka 2019 ka track “Machayenge” viral hit bana tha, jisse unki fame skyrocket hui. Recently, unhone Sidhu Moosewala ko tribute diya with a reimagined version of Sidhu’s iconic song “Dogar.” Emiway ne kaha tha, “Sidhu Moosewala is more than an artist—he’s a movement,” aur yeh tribute unke liye ek dream collaboration thi jo kabhi physically nahi ho saki.

Social media pe fans Emiway ke support mein khade hain. Ek X user, Rudraa, ne post kiya, “Emiway Bantai made a tribute track for Sidhu Moosewala, but death threats for it? That’s wrong. Art should live freely, not in fear. I request our police to take action on this threat, artists must be safe.” Fans ka yeh bhi kehna hai ki artists ko apna kaam karne ke liye safe environment milna chahiye.
